Not surprisingly, it seems everyone is rushing to make new online content for the film community these days. While SilvergrainClassics — the magazine about the entire world of analog photography — will be sticking to a print-only philosophy for its publication, the team is also in the midst of launching a series of online content and have teamed up with Gossen, the German manufacturer of top-quality light meters to kick things off.

The new offering will include an entire series of videos, virtual workshops, and Town Hall Meetings with industry leaders. Some of this content will take the form of interactive webinars in which participants can ask questions live via split-screen. There will also be instructional videos and one-on-one coachings on offer.

An important part of SGCs new digital expansion is a promotion with Gossen, who are offering a 15% discount on purchases through gossen-photo.de until the end of April 2020 (use the checkout easter2020). The discount is accompanied by a series of instructional videos created in conjunction with SilvergrainClassics.

The first of these videos — a guide to the new, updated DIGIPRO F2 — is presented by Editor-in-Chief Marwan El-Mozayen. Klaus-Peter Richter, Gossen CEO is a film photographer himself and is aware of features that analog photographers value. For instance, if you love your mechanical camera and aren’t afraid to take it out in a spring shower, you want physical controls on your light meter, not a frustratingly fiddly touchscreen!

Here’s a quick teser of what you can expect:

Also available now is a SilvergrainClassics magazine bundle, which includes a personal online tutorial with Marwan El Mozayen. Included in the bundle are issues 1, 2, & 3 of the print magazine (in its former iteration, PhotoKlassik International) which total 330 pages, and a 45-minute one-on-one chat with Marwan.

You can stay up-to-date on their newest content through the SGC YouTube channel, or follow them on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
