You read that right. JCH Streetpan 400 is now available for pre-order in 120 format for expected delivery in September 2017.

If you’re still here, read on:

As you’ll hopefully be aware, JCH Streetpan 400 in 35mm format was announced by Mr Japan Camera Hunter Bellamy Hunt back in March 2016 (on his birthday no less), and has quickly become a staple of film shooters the world over.

The film is incredibly flexible, pushes very well and even boasts sensitivity into the infrared range, as my guest review on JCH demonstrates.

So, it was only a matter of time before Bellamy bowed to pressure and released JCH Streetpan 400 in 120 format, right? Right.

As with the initial 35mm run announced in March 2016, development costs are being financed by Bellamy himself and the film is available for pre-0rder on the Japan Camera Hunter website as of around midnight EST on July 26th (read: right now).

The film stock is exactly the same as the current JCH Streetpan 400 in 35mm format, just in a larger format. Who knows, perhaps with a bit more badgering, Bellamy will give us 4×5 sheet film version next. There’s always hope.

Orders have been placed with suppliers and the film is currently in production. Bellamy’s expecting the film to arrive to him in Japan in mid-August for final checks and quality assurance before being sent out to fulfil pre-orders.

The film is expected to start shipping in September 2017 and will be available through both Japan Camera Hunter and usual suppliers once on general release.

In case you missed that pre-order link, here it is again:
