I had a certain interest in photography as a child, but it wasn't until about 12 years ago that I started working as a commercial photographer, fully digital. Initially I surrendered to it’s possibilities, but my interest in history (I have a PhD), and a family tradition in painters, along with a certain tiredness in the digital world, led me to return to analog photography and, at the same time, to collecting historical cameras. It could be said that film photography is the perfect mix of my artistic and historical sides. In the last four years I've been shooting and developing mostly film. I currently use everything from DSLR to analog 35mm, medium and large format, and even wet plate collodion.
