I’ve worked in photography all of my adult life but as the world has slowed down I’ve had a chance to study things closer and realized I was lucky to make a go of it all these years since it’s only the last couple of years that I’ve really felt I’ve known what I was doing. I find that funny because I worked full-time at five different newspapers, shot the NFL for 14 seasons and 17 seasons with MLB. Then when that slowed down, I managed one of the digital imaging groups at Sony.
My career started with black and white film at the papers, moved through the different options for colour film, then digital, then video all the while continuing with my first love, black and white film in a conventional darkroom.
