My love of photography began during a year-long work deployment to Antarctica. Starting with zero experience in photography, a Nikon F3, a few lenses, a lot of film, access to a stocked darkroom, and a couple of introductory books I began my journey into film photography in 1987.

I enjoy shooting 35mm and medium format in various toy and vintage cameras, modern SLR’s and rangefinder systems, with Polaroid thrown in from time to time to change the aesthetic. Even when shooting digitally, I seem to always return to film and the thoughtful experience that film provides.
