The Founder and CEO of REFLEX, Laurence Von Thomas is hosting a public Zoom meeting, “in response to questions raised regarding the Reflex project“, a press release sent to EMULSIVE states.
The meeting — open to anyone with an internet connection and access to Zoom’s Video Conferencing platform — is on Wednesday, August 18th at 18:30 GMT / 17:30 UTC.
REFLEX, the company behind the eponymous modular 35mm SLR first featured here on EMULSIVE back in very early November 2017, has suffered a number of setbacks since the successful completion of its Kickstarter campaign (£131,964 pledged from a
£100,000 goal), so news of this very public meeting piqued my interest.
In the press release, REFLEX state that, “Concerns regarding past, present and future activities will be addressed“, and that all questions and requests for call-ins are to be emailed in advance to info@reflex.global.

Having followed the REFLEX story since before the official release, as well as their more recent setbacks, I’m hopeful for good news from the event and would be interested in hearing your thoughts.

With 20/20 hindsight, the project was too ambitious. If anyone is consider is a Kickstarter for a new SLR (which should be done), perhaps they need to consider something simpler.
I fully expect this meeting to be about how the project failed and is winding down. Most questions will be about what happened to the money. I hope to be proven wrong, though!
