Last summer I returned to Scotland for the second time in my life. I still keep the negatives of my first time (1985), some irregular Kodak Tri-X rolls but with some great images. For this trip I chose to take two cameras: the Fujifilm XT-20 for all kinds of images and an Olympus Trip 35 to try something more “special.”
Just a short week before I had bought the Trip at a good price in eBay and had only shot a couple of rolls in which I had been able to verify that what is said about this camera in the forums (exceptional sharpness, extreme ease of use, good automatic measurement of light…) was true. So, I loaded it with Bergger BRF 400 Plus and shot nearly twenty images in Invergordon on a foggy afternoon. Since I had never seen anything more boring and depressing in my life, I called the series “Sad Invergordon” (All this said with all the love 🙂 )
I developed the BRF with R09 OneShot in a semi-stand, at 1+100 at 20ºC for 60 minutes. The result, as you can see, are images with a notorious grain – quite typical of BRF, especially if developed with R09 – but given the atmosphere of Invergordon, I found it sensational. Here I leave you.
