The photos I present you were made with my Leica M6, 35mm Summicron and Kodak EKTACHROME 64T, which was cross-processed. This is my all-time favorite film and it’s sad that Kodak doesn’t produce it anymore. Kodak will soon release again the EKTACHROME (but not the 64T though) and I hope it won’t cost an arm and a leg.

I really like colours from this film, especially when cross-processed but finding positive films is becoming harder and harder! I could buy a digital camera and make my pics look like cross-processed ones but I don’t wanna spend hours behind my computer. I definitely prefer spending my time outside. And creating analog photos really attracts me compared to the digital ones.

I like the idea that you have to think of the photo you want have and not to shoot as much as you can until you’ll have the result you want. And finally, using a camera that is almost as old as me and still working perfectly is such a real pleasure! A digital camera will have a lesser lifetime and will be quicker to create poor quality pictures (and I really don’t wanna enter in this competition).

These photos were made during my trip to Japan, it’s such a cool place to make street photos! The architecture of Tokyo is so awesome! Through these photos, I try to show that travelling is really important for me but I’m creating photos in my everyday life as well.

I especially like making photos in the street. Wandering in the street, finding new places, new architectures and new designs are some big motivations for me to take pictures. This might come from the fact that I used to skateboard a lot back in the day and being outside looking for particular architecture might have formed my way of looking at the city differently.

  1. Was this using any filters, or post edit? And how do you adjust exposure?

  2. Is there any info on which Ektachrome they’re bringing back?
