My name is Stian , Norwegian born and bred in the great year of 86. I’ve spent most of my life sailing all over the world on merchant vessels, but the last three years I’ve been working on the coast of Norway. When I started working on the Norwegian coast I was struck by the beauty of it and I wanted to capture it all in photos so I bought my self a digital camera and learned how to use it. When my grandmother passed a year later I inherited a photo album. I was amazed at seeing these beautiful and “unperfect” black and white pictures of her as a teenager and I started thinking about how few real photos there were of me and my family to leave behind. I started the search for a vintage camera as I also wanted to make real pictures to leave behind, and this led me down the maelstrom that is analog photography. Which again has led me to this point…
